a smidge under 4 starsI had a hard time getting into this book. I felt it was a little dry and it was too easy to walk away from. Then, it started to heat up. Holy Crow. There came a point that the adrenaline coursing through me kept riveted and reading into the night. I was looking for some relief. Then, I was disappointed in the ending. I wish it would not have been Hudson's recorded diary POV. It lacked the intensity that I needed for that relief I was looking for.I will also say that Eliza's choices frustrated me to no end. She created a huge mess and seriously hurt some people. And her weak attempts at explaining them just made it more frustrating. It's hard for me to rate this story; I had such a love-hate thing going on.In the end it's worth almost 4 stars because the intensity of the feelings it evoked were pretty strong.
