Calling Me Home - Julie Kibler Boring
Fancy Pants - Susan Elizabeth Phillips Barely a 3 star

Flight Behavior

Flight Behavior - AUDIOI love Barbara Kingsolver and especially love to listen to her books on audio.Although some listeners don't like her to read her own books, I happen to LOVE her voice and the nuance she brings to her own stories. It's the reason I prefer to listen instead of read a B.K. book. She is a genius at weaving a story around current environmental issues.Flight Behavior focuses on the consequences of global warming and touches on other subjects like poverty, education in poor communities and more. She does all this very subtly without judgment and fanaticism. I recommend this and all her other books as well.
Lady Rogue - Suzanne Enoch I really liked this book.Endearing characters and lots of witty dialogue. Suzanne Enoch is one of my favorite authors.However....Ms. Enoch used the word "chit" 117 times! First of all, I don't like the word. Secondly, 117 times! Then apparently everyone was chuckling all the time because someone freaking "chuckled" 75 times. And don't get me started on the 44 "My dear"s. It makes me think I was over reacting to all 33 "shaking" episodes. And the ending dragged on a bit, this felt long for a regency romance.Even so, I guess this is SE's debut? Pretty impressive if it is.

The Redemption of Callie and Kayden (The Coincidence, #2)

The Redemption of Callie & Kayden - Jessica Sorensen Smidge under 4 starsHope she gets a good editor for the rest of the series
A Rogue by Any Other Name - Sarah MacLean, Rosalyn Landor smidge under 4 stars
Perfect Chemistry - Simone Elkeles 2 1/2 starsI always go into a book excited and fully expecting to love it. I don't read synopsis' or reviews before I read a book because I like to go in blind and not be influenced. I rely completely on star ratings. (I do, however, like to read reviews when I'm finished)I know, it's weird.Sadly, this book didn't live up to the ratings for me.Here's why((some may think this is a little SPOILERish))-The overuse of stereotypes. It felt a little 1960's blatant.-The overuse of spanish phrases. These did not make me feel the story was more authentic.-The overuse of Brittany striving for perfection. It basically came down to only her looks and it became too repetitive.-The overuse of Alex thinking there was so much more to Brittany than meets the eye. I wasn't shown much beyond her crappy parents and special needs sister.-The gang related scenarios didn't feel genuine to me. I understand it would be difficult to get a true, insideviewpoint if you don't live it. It just felt manufactured by someone who's guessing. This isn't a bad book. It had entertainment value and I did read it pretty quickly.

Unsticky - Sarra Manning 4 1/2 starsI love Sarra Manning's style. This isn't main-stream romance. It's edgy and not always comfortable. This is my second of her novels and I want more.I wanted to give it 5 stars but the ending was too abrupt and I guess I just didn't want it to end. Also the characters made me so mad sometimes that I didn't always like them. But, these are broken people and their behavior was so true to who they were that it was painful. It's one of those books that when I had to put it down I kept wondering what Vaughn and Grace were up to.Well done Ms. Manning!

Where'd You Go, Bernadette

Where'd You Go, Bernadette - AudioLove this story Love the readerI wish there was an epilogue though. Too many unanswered questions.
Skin Deep (I-Team, #5.5) - Pamela Clare 4 1/2 stars
When I Found You - Catherine Ryan Hyde I bought this because of the story Pay it Forward by the same author.I didn't read it, just saw the movie.Well.....The plot was interesting but the writing was dry and flat.
You Don't Have to Say You Love Me - Sarra Manning This was excellent! Many women will identify with Neve. And the romance was a cute friends to love that was just perfect. Witty, funny, and realistic.Looking for more Sarra Manning.
